Trampolining Courses

At Connaught we aim to offer trampolining courses for children from beginners through to advanced trampolinists. Pupils work individually, within their own capabilities, and lessons follow the National Proficiency Awards Scheme.

Good for you snacks - Popcorn

Craving for a healthy snack on a night in? How about popcorn? A standard three-cup serving of air-popped popcorn contains just 93 calories and less than 1.5 grams of fat. These low-calories snacks are considered whole grains, which have some valuable antioxidants not found in fruits and vegetables. They also contain B vitamins, vitamin E, magnesium and fibre. Try to choose the plain version if possible and avoid the "buttery" or "caramel" microwave popcorn that may be loaded with calories, sugar and fats.

Move More!

Make it a daily challenge to find ways to move your body. Climb stairs if given a choice between that and escalators or lifts. Walk your dog; chase your kids, mow the lawn. Anything that moves your limbs is not only a fitness tool, it's a stress buster. Think 'move' in small increments of time. It doesn't have to be an hour in the gym or a 45-minute aerobic dance class or kung fu. But that's great when you're up to it. Meanwhile, move more. Thought for the day: Cha, Cha, Cha?. Then do it!
